Help Me Make a Difference in an Entrepreneur's Life and Business

KIVA is an organization that works to alleviate poverty by empowering entrepreneurs worldwide with microloans from the global community.  

KIVA partners with approved local lending institutions worldwide to locate entrepreneurs who need a small loan to support the growth of their business. KIVA showcases these entrepreneurs using pictures and short bios on its website and makes it easy for anyone with access to the internet to make a microloan to the entrepreneur of their choice. 

I have been a proud member of the KIVA global lending community for 3 years. KIVA makes it wonderfully simple to support one or many of the millions of entrepreneurs out there who just need a little support to help them build a business that will not only support themselves and their family, but help grow their community as a whole. I believe supporting economic growth around the world serves all of us. With just a small loan anyone can have incredible impact in someone else's life - and an impact on the world's economic development as a result.

The entrepreneur I've been supporting has repaid her loan. It is time for me to select a new business owner to support. I've decided to ask my own community here for assistance in making that selection. 

How can you help me choose the next entrepreneur to support?

1. Go to http://www.kiva.org
2. Click 'Lend' at the top of the home page.
3. Place a checkmark next to the gender and sector you want to support
4. Pick the the entrepreneur from the list displayed.
5. Tell me the name, country, type of business, gender and sector of the entrepreneur you've selected by either leaving a comment here on the blog, or sending me an email at: [email protected] 

While you are there at the site, you might consider selecting an entrepreneur to support yourself.
