I have just finished an advance copy of Issue 2 of the Personal Branding Magazine. It is quite a publication – full of compelling articles on everything from authenticity and personal branding online to social media and changing your personal brand. This issue of the magazine has a cover story on Jack Welch and an interview with Second Life founder, Philip Rosedale. It's a must read for career professionals and entrepreneurs alike.
But I would expect nothing less from publisher Dan Schawbel, personal branding expert for the Generation-Y audience. He is passionate about personal branding and is one of the most prolific people I know. In addition to the Personal Branding Magazine, he has a top ranked Personal Branding Blog, has started Personal Branding TV, gives Personal Branding Awards, created a Personal Branding Wiki and he has just informed me he is working on his first book! Dan's commitment to personal branding has made him a well-known figure in the career development and online networking community.
In addition to his tireless energy and passion for a subject close to my own heart, what I appreciate about Dan is his commitment to giving back – 50% of the proceeds for the magazine go to the American Cancer Society (a cancer survivor myself, I particularly appreciate this).
